What if I told you that you could buy your prom dress at the hardware store? Now, I know what you must be thinking. What?! What is this girl talking about? But I assure you that there is a method to my madness. Wouldn’t you and your date each like $10,000 in your pocket plus $5,000 for your school? Of course you would! That’s why I’m here. Your Fairy God-Germ has arrived! I know of a brilliant, fun, and fantastic way to get your perfect prom dress or suit made completely out of duck tape. You guessed it: This is a DIY, Project Runway kind of project. You’ll have to tap into your creative side to make the best formal wear you can out of the most unlikely material: duck tape!
Here’s how it works: You and your special someone go to the the store and buy a ton — and I mean a TON — of your favorite, colorful duck tape. Then, go home and tape away to create a wonderful duck tape prom dress, suit, accessories — you name it! You can create any look you want — including a character inspired theme, like Cinderella or the Red Queen — but make it something unique and totally you.
To enter the competition, you need to be at least 14 years old, and you can be no older than a senior in high school. This awesome scholarship opportunity is open to everyone in the US, except for teens living in Maryland, Vermont, Colorado, and the District of Columbia.
Go to www.duckbrand.com for more information. The 2015 competition is coming up fast, so get your duck tape on!
