The following was written for Germ's May Writing Challenge.

Maybe one day, I want to get lost. The world is so full of possibilities, it gives me the heebie-jeebies just thinking about it. I want to be able to fly and explore. I want to jump into the endless possibilities and excitement. Many would say I’m being foolish, for wanting to get lost. But they don’t realize that getting lost is the best part. Because if you don’t get lost, how can you be found? How can you be created? Adventure isn’t about how far you go, or the place you go to. It’s about the people you travel with or being able to bask in solitude. It’s about the moments you spend in awe of the world we humans have created. It’s about the memories you look back on and the ones you take to your grave. It’s about the excitement of getting lost and finding a way to get found. It’s about the place that makes you the happiest, without all of life’s other luxuries. It’s about the smallest things that paint the biggest picture. It’s about looking up at the clear night sky, gazing at the stars, and saying “Hey. I’m finally okay.” It’s about having a very clear sense of who you are and knowing you’ve still got to find bits and pieces of yourself that have been scattered around the world. This is what adventure and wanderlust is. It’s the fear of missing that creates the butterflies in your stomach. Wandering is like a bird that’s finally getting out of its cage. Because without the bars, it can finally fly and be what it was meant to be. A bird. We have a very short life already. So why not spend it wandering and trying to create yourself instead of staying and trying to find yourself?

Topic: Adventure

Maybe one day, I want to get lost. This world is so full iof possibilities that I just weant to fly out there and never come back. Coming back will cut deeper than a knife.  I want to bask in the possibilities of endless running and wandering. Bad case of wanderlust right here. London, Paris, Los Angeles, Australia, New York all those places are so big and they mean so much to me. They make me hapoy. Wanderingisnt about how far you go or how experienced you are. It’s about the moments you spend in awe of the world we as humans have created. Itsabout the memories you look back on and cherish until the grave. It’s about the excitement of getting lost and finding a way to get found. It’s about your happy place, the place you feel complete with out all of life’s other luxuries. It’s about seeing another person’s silhouette in the sunlight and wondering why the world creates things as ugly as earthquakes but as beautiful as sunsets. It’s about looking up at the stars in the slear night sky and sayin “Hey. I made it. This life is mine.” It’s about having a clear sense of who you are. This is what adventure and wandering is. It’s the fear of missing that creates the excitement within your stomach. Wandering is like a caged bird finally breaking free. Because without the bars, it can finally fly and be what it was supposed to be.  A bird. Maybe one day, I will get lost. I’ll nevr be alone, butI;ll always be lost. Just like a balloon floating in the sky.
