Comicsfunnies-under-five are a seriously underrated form of entertainment. Even if you are genius and read the dictionary in your spare time, it is difficult to deny the escape that can be provided by comic books. I have always been able to identify with the characters and their suffering; and, talk about suffering! Betty and Veronica spend over four pages trying to get the perfect tan. Jughead empties Betty’s pantry every five minutes. Veronica frequently makes dates with movie stars, forgetting her date with Archie on the same day. You see what I mean? I can relate. Don’t you wish that you could have these heroes with you at all times? Well, now you can! Since you probably already own most of the items needed, it will cost less than five dollars!

Allow me to introduce the comic bracelet!

Items needed:

-Duct Tape

-Comic book (If you don’t have the heart to cut up a comic book, try a newspaper comic strip or find and print a comic online)

-Packing Tape

-Velcro dots

Instructions:

  1. Measure your wrist. Add three inches to that measurement, and cut out a piece of duct tape that length.
  2. Fold each end inward an inch.
  3. Take your comic, cut it to fit, and attach it to the sticky side between the parts you just folded in.
  4. Cover with clear packing tape to give it a finished look.
  5. Attach the rough Velcro on the comic side of the bracelet on the part folded in.
  6. Position the Velcro on the same location on the opposite side.
  7. You are finished. I know it was hard. Talk to Betty and Veronica; I’m sure they can commiserate.
