Stupid plane. Stupid ballet. Gigi, dead, because of them. Without a broken leg from dance… She would’ve been the survivor, not Rose Ridgeway.
Teary-eyed, I mosey through Roman High. Apologies engulf me. Those we love never truly leave.
Rose expresses “regret.” Deep down I’m shredding her into pieces.
Only I vocalize the thoughts. I feel the sympathetic eyes.
She should be on house arrest, suggest councilors. Keep a journal.
My deferential parents complied.
