The sky gets dark and grey
The stark, bare trees begin to sway
Children no longer roam
The first snowflake falls from the sky
Pretty, glistening with complex a shape
The snowflake flutters like a firefly
Down, down, down, it travels in a traipse
More and more snowflakes aggregate
The children watch with awe
No matter the age, the snow still fascinates
The beautiful landscape is truly raw
The storm finally reaches its zenith
Beyond the windows, all is opaque
The snowflakes truly are behemoth
But eventually, this tempest has to break
The grey clouds turn white and dissipate
The sun shines, beaming its rays across the snow
From their homes, the animals migrate
From the ground, the plants began to grow
