After graduating from Monta Vista High School, Angela Zhang began researching a nanoparticle system that is able to target tumors, eradicate cancer cells, and monitor treatment responses simultaneously. In layman’s terms, this seventeen-year-old girl may have found the cure for cancer. While most girls her age were out spending time hanging out with friends and going to the mall, Angela was hard at work designing a possible cure for a life-threatening disease. Her work even got her a $100,000 scholarship. She hopes to continue her research, and thanks to her we are one step closer to the end of cancer.
