There were a few lucky couples who received a pretty cool and surprising “gift.” So here’s the gist: On December 6, 2014, Maroon 5 tried to crash as many weddings as they possibly could.
If I’m not mistaken, they attended seven weddings that day. When I saw their post on Facebook announcing their new video, I was pretty excited because I pretty darn love Maroon 5. But, when I realized what the idea was behind this whole new video, I was really blown away. First of all, why can’t I live in LA? (My dear Germ staffers, you know you are really lucky, right?) But I also found so much joy in watching the different couples freak out. And let me tell you, if Maroon 5 would’ve show up at my wedding, I probably would’ve fainted, then cried, and then laughed and fainted again. Oh, did I mention screaming? Yes, a massive fangirl here. But, who knows? I have my whole life ahead of me. Maybe one day they will sing at my wedding? 😉
Also, this song is just amazing. But all of their songs are, so this one was obviously going to be great as well.
The first wedding is fake (I thought I recognized the groom from TV!), but apparently the rest are real!
According to hardcore Maroon 5 fans, there were posts all over social media from attendants at the different weddings. They took pictures and videos of Maroon 5 showing up and playing!
I wonder if they gave a mini concert, or if they sang that one song and split… So much more I’d love to know about this.
I tried to do a little “researsch” and unfortunately I can’t say more than you. I’ve seen a bunch of photos and videos from the wedding, so I guess not all, the weddings were fake. Also I’ve read that it was a collaboratin with the Wedding Crashers director David Dobkin, so who knows? Also some of really “big” magazines wrote about this, for example Rolling Stones, so I think that would be a little bit embarassing for the Maroons if it turned out to be fake. So, sorry, I guess now, we won’t have answer for this questions. Maybe later? 😀
