What happened when a group of friends set out to find their doppelgangers? With the power of the Internet, magic. Three 20-something friends, Niamh Geaney, Harry English, and Terence Manzanga, made a bet with each other about finding their lookalike, utilizing the global moxy of the World Wide Web. Calling the project “Twin Strangers,” they posted a video calling for their doppelgangers to contact them, giving themselves one month to see who could complete the challenge first.
Things got crazy when a woman named Karen Branigan found the video and got in contact with Niamh, ensuring the 26-year-old’s victory in the bet. Karen and Niamh were able to film their meeting, and they (and the Internet) marveled at these truly twin strangers. As you will see in the video, the two women aren’t related in any way, but their resemblance is startlingly uncanny.
