This site is not a new one, but for those who love classic literature, it is a very exciting (and potentially financially dangerous) one. Out of Print Clothing is a company that takes cover art from classic novels and puts them on various items for you to love and adore.
From Pride and Prejudice to Ulysses to Where the Wild Things Are, you can get T-shirts, tote bags, jewelry, and small pouches. You can explore what the site has to offer in a couple different ways: by title, by author, or by item. That way you’re sure to not miss exactly what you’re looking for.
Admittedly, there are a few more titles that I had wished to see listed while browsing through their selection; but, that being said, a number of my favorites are offered. And it has become somewhat of a motivation to read those classics that I just haven’t gotten around to yet.
Now, I know that going through the site can be pretty overwhelming, and your virtual cart might fill up really quickly only for all of your hopes to be dashed at the sight of that whopping grand total. But! Here’s a little incentive: for each product sold, the company donates a book to a community in need through their partnership with Books for Africa. Out of Print has been able to donate over 1 million books, which is just incredible.
So, let’s not stop there! Start your Christmas shopping or just get something nice for yourself. Either way, you will be able to help “spread the joy of reading.” And, honestly, what better gift is there?
