This is admittedly an older video (try 30+ years), but it still packs an emotional wallop. Like, really emotional. Like, prepare-to-cry-for-hours emotional. Basically, in the 1940s, a man named Sir Nicholas Winston successfully smuggled to safety 669 Jewish-Czechoslovakian children who were destined for the Nazi death camps. Fast forward 40 years: The very same Sir Nicholas Winston is sitting in the audience of a filmed program commemorating his human rights achievements. What he doesn’t know is that many of the now-grown children that he saved are sitting around him in the audience. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got to go mop up the rainstorm on my face.
