Below is the recipe for one of my favorite cookies: peanut blossoms! They’re so delicious, and they are the perfect combination of peanut butter and chocolate. Whenever my family makes these, we tend to double the recipe so that there are more to go around! (This is also why there are larger amounts of ingredients in my pictures than the recipe calls for)
One batch makes around 3 dozen cookiesIngredients:
- 1 3/4 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 c butter
- 1/3 c peanut butter
- 1/2 c sugar
- 1/2 c brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla
- bag of Hershey kisses
Recipe:
- Mix flour, baking soda, and salt together
- In a separate bowl, cream together butter, peanut butter (gradually add), sugar, brown sugar*
(*when measuring brown sugar, it should be packed in well)
- Once creamed well, add in egg and vanilla; then, beat well
- Blend in the dry ingredients gradually, mixing well
- Shape dough into balls, roll balls in sugar, and place on greased sheet
(using rounded tsp to measure out dough per cookie)
- Bake in oven 375° for 8 min
- Remove from oven, top each cookie with a solid milk chocolate candy kiss, pressing down firmly so cookie cracks around edge.
- Return to oven and bake 2-5 min longer until golden brown
