Saved by the Bell was a show I watched regularly growing up, and I’ve always looked up the actors once in a while to see where they are now. Some I didn’t have to keep tabs on because I knew right where they were: Mario Lopez (Slater) has been hosting Extra forever now, and Tiffani Thiessen (Kelly) was a regular on the show White Collar.
While Mark-Paul Gosselaar (Zack) was on various shows as well, Elizabeth Berkley (Jessie) dropped out of the limelight for a while after doing the movie Showgirls (hence Zack’s jab about Jessie becoming a stripper).
It was fun seeing them in their old roles again, and it was even nicer seeing them all together. The only two that weren’t there were Lark Voorhies (Lisa) and Dustin Diamond (Screech); even Mr. Belding showed up! While I missed seeing Lisa (apparently she wanted to be there but had too hectic of a schedule), I understand Screech’s absence since Dustin Diamond has done some…let’s say questionable things since the end of the show.
Overall, I’m so glad Jimmy Fallon put together this reunion, and it was so nostalgic seeing the cast do their most famous bits from the show.
And, while the whole cast looks great, can I just say that Mario Lopez and Elizabeth Berkley have barely aged?
