The Summer We Met by Daria Barbuta
I sit facing the sea, my feet in the sand. I am happy wherever I can see the waves. My mother used to tell me that the sea is just like our lives. It can be calm or troubled but it’ll always be beautiful.
As I sit and take in the fresh air, a boy with emerald-green eyes and raven-black hair sits down next to me. We end up talking for two hours, learning everything about each other.
I have always wondered when I would find my soul mate. I didn’t know it then, but I found my husband.
The truth is, he found me.
