I’ve been a fan of Kelly Clarkson’s since forever (“Since U Been Gone” and “Behind These Hazel Eyes” were my jam growing up!), so I was of course excited when I stumbled across her music video for “Heartbeat Song” that came out early February.

The song is catchy and beautifully sung (obviously. . . because Kelly Clarkson has an amazing voice), but it’s the music video that really grabbed me. I love when music videos tell a story, and this particular one told multiple stories, following individuals and then couples as they each overcome some heartache and decide to give love another try.

This video combines the beautiful aspects of pain, love, and — most of all — hope. Don’t give up on yourself, don’t give up on the world, and live your life to the fullest. You never know who you might just meet along the way.
