I hate the way every time I walk past an ice cream shop I see couples kissing or holding hands. Like, there’s always a girl and boy together who look like they’re in love, and when I see those people my heart breaks into a million pieces because I remember he chose the other girl. The other girl who isn’t broken like me, or the girl who will eat ice cream with you because she’s not worried about the number on the scale.
I wish I could be his life guard and pull him back into my sea of memories, but all that’s left is blank love letters.
