This just in: Solar-installation incentives have been eliminated in Florida.

Florida. You know, The Sunshine State…. That’d be like Vermont (The Green Mountain State) saying, “Green mountains are stupid. Let’s not have those anymore.”

And we shouldn’t be surprised. Big Oil has probably just seen the future, and they aren’t in it, so they’re of course putting up a last pointless fight. As a result, the utility industry in Florida isn’t even going to try and conserve energy anymore, either. Conserving energy, after all, would only mean less energy “sold” by power companies, less money paid to an industry that’s already got way too much.

No justification the conservative politicians have given or will give is ever going to be anything but a lie.
